Memórias e produtos culturais que reconstroem identidades : "Esculturas Parque Pedras do Silêncio" (Nova Petrópolis, RS)

Abstract

Este trabalho propõe-se a analisar a problemática da reconstrução da memória da imigração germânica no município de Nova Petrópolis, RS em um caso concreto, o “Esculturas Parque Pedras do Silêncio”. Apresenta como objetivo geral investigar a reconstrução da memória da imigração germânica na gestão desse espaço sociocultural a partir da expografia, e apresentar um produto cultural educativo relacionado ao espaço que expresse a ressignificação dessa memória. A memória migratória é representada por esculturas de pedra em arenito, distribuídas ao longo do parque e organizadas pelo seu idealizador e gestor ao escolher três eixos temáticos – a saga dos imigrantes, espaço das profissões e espaço das tradições e cultura, além de um espaço dedicado à representação de pioneiros. À luz da bibliografia consultada, se procede à análise da coleção expográfica do parque, cujos elementos identitários vinculados à imigração germânica que aparecem nas esculturas evidenciam parcialmente a memória social que elas estão ressaltando para os visitantes. A pesquisa utiliza a metodologia da análise de conteúdo para estudar a gestão desse espaço sociocultural por meio de entrevistas de colaboradores. Foi possível concluir que o produto cultural educativo de entretenimento infantil desenvolvido irá colaborar com a construção de ressignificação da memória da comunidade local descendente de imigrantes germânicos.

It is proposed an analysis of the memory reconstruction of the German immigration in the city of Nova Petrópolis/RS based on a concrete case, namely, the "Esculturas Parque Pedras do Silêncio”. Our main goal is the investigation of the reconstruction of the German immigration memory, as worked out under the management of this sociocultural space, from its expography, and the elaboration of a cultural educational product related to the space that expresses the redetermination of that memory. The memory of this migratory flow is represented by sculptures done on sandstone, distributed throughout the park, organized by its idealizer and manager choosing three thematic axes – the saga of immigrants, space of the professions and space of the traditions and culture, besides a space dedicated to the representation of pioneers. In the light of the consulted bibliography, the analysis of the park's collection focuses on the identity elements linked to the German immigration that appear in the sculptures, partially showing the social memory that they are highlighting for the visitors. It is used the methodology of content analysis to study the management of this sociocultural space through interviews of collaborators. It was possible to conclude that the developed cultural educational product for children's entertainment will collaborate with the construction of memory’s redetermination of the German immigrants.
