Histórias, memórias e narrativas de mulheres no handebol do Rio Grande do Sul : contextualizando o universo do apito

Abstract

As barreiras enfrentadas pelas mulheres no contexto esportivo resultam de relações históricas, as quais vêm limitando suas experiências. No contexto do Handebol, isso não se dá de modo diferente, inclusive na arbitragem. Considerando esse cenário, o objetivo deste estudo é dar visibilidade a trajetória de mulheres na arbitragem do Handebol no Rio Grande do Sul, analisando aspectos relacionados a sua inserção, ascensão e permanência na carreira de árbitra. O estudo possui uma abordagem qualitativa e do tipo descritiva e está ancorado no aporte teórico-metodológico da História Oral por meio da realização de entrevistas, as quais foram colocadas em diálogo com outras fontes de pesquisa. Para apresentar as análises inicialmente destaco o contexto histórico do Handebol gaúcho para compreender o cenário em que as árbitras se encontram, bem como os primeiros movimentos da arbitragem e os cursos organizados pela Federação Gaúcha de Handebol (FGHb). Além disso, trago um breve relato sobre o contexto nacional do Handebol, e da arbitragem, com vistas a evidenciar o protagonismo e o pioneirismo de algumas árbitras brasileiras. Por fim, analiso de modo mais particular a narrativa das três árbitras que integram o atual quadro de arbitragem da FGHb. Destaco, então, que sua inserção na arbitragem ocorreu devido ao seu envolvimento com a prática da modalidade no âmbito escolar ou de clubes. Evidencio, por fim, que algumas dificuldades apontadas em suas narrativas não foram empecilhos para desistirem da modalidade e que estar na arbitragem é um modo de se manterem no esporte em que pese o fato de não ser uma profissão.

The barriers faced by women in the sports context result from historical relationships that have been limiting their experiences. In the context of handball this is not different, even in refereeing. Considering this scenario, the objective of this study is to give visibility to the trajectory of women in Handball refereeing in Rio Grande do Sul, analyzing aspects related to their insertion, ascension and permanence in the referee's career. The study has a qualitative and descriptive approach and is anchored in the theoretical-methodological approach of Oral History by conducting interviews which were placed in dialogue with other research sources. In order to present the analyzes, I first highlight the historical context of the Rio Grande do Sul Handball to understand the scenario that the referees are in, as well as the first movements of the referee, and the courses organized by the Rio Grande do Sul Handball Federation (FGHb). In addition, I bring a brief account about the national context of Handball and refereeing in order to highlight the protagonism and pioneering of some Brazilian referees. Finally, I will analyze more specifically the narrative of the three referees that make up the current FGHb arbitration framework. I emphasize, then, that its insertion in the arbitration occurred due to its involvement with the practice of the modality in the school or clubs. Finally, it is evident that some of the difficulties pointed out in their narratives were not obstacles to giving up the sport and that being in arbitration is a way to stay in sports despite the fact that it is not a profession.
