As casas sofisticadas dos arquitetos modernos : uma produção contraditória?

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como tema de investigação uma aparente contradição da Arquitetura Moderna. Partindo-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa na modalidade de estudo de caso, objetiva-se verificar o que se pode depreender, a partir da análise de cinco residências emblemáticas (com enfoque em seus interiores), sobre aspectos representativos do luxo nessas edificações em um período em que o discurso era de preocupação social, voltado à escassez de habitação e habitabilidade das moradias.

The present work has as its investigation theme an apparent contradiction of Modern Architecture. Starting from a qualitative research in the form of a case study, the aim is to verify what can be inferred, from the analysis of five emblematic residences (with a focus on their interiors), about representative aspects of luxury in these buildings in a period in which the discourse was of social concern, focused on the housing shortage and habitability.
