Contradições entre o artístico e o jurídico-político : discurso e racialidade no corpo tatuado

Abstract

O presente trabalho objetiva analisar o funcionamento discursivo de uma imagemde uma criança negra tatuada no corpo de uma pessoa branca. O caso teve repercussão após a família da criança denunciar o uso sem autorização da fotografia do menino na tatuagem. A análise se desenvolve pela abordagem teórica da Análise Materialista de Discurso, tensionando questões sobrecorpo e raça na relação entre o artístico e o jurídico-político. Pela compreensão do corpo como materialidade discursiva, entendemos que o funcionamento da tatuagem no eixo da formulação de sentidos materializa contradições entre os campos discursivos, cuja determinação pode ser observada pela racialidade.

The present work aims to analyzethe discursive functioning of an image of a black child tattooed on the body of a white person. The case gained attention afterthe child’s family reported the unauthorized useof the boy’s photograph in the tattoo. The analysisis developed through the theoretical approach of Materialist Analysis of Discourse, addressing issues of body and racein the relationship between the artistic and thelegal-political domains. By understanding the body as discursive materiality, we comprehend that the functioning of the tattoo in the axis of meaning-making materializes contradictions between discursive fields, whose determination can be observed through raciality.
