A epistemologia de Fleck : uma contribuição ao debate sobre a natureza da ciência

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir ideias de Ludwik Fleck através de uma síntese do estudo de caso realizado por Fleck sobre a doença sífilis articulada a um episódio da história da ciência, a reação de Wassermann, e sua relação com outros conhecimentos históricos. Aspectos fundamentais da teoria do conhecimento de Fleck são apresentados ao longo desta síntese, tendo presente que suas ideias não são recentes, mas entendendo que mantêm certa atualidade quando confrontadas com características do trabalho científico atual, especialmente na Física Moderna. Visa também contribuir com o debate epistemológico em curso na literatura e discutir o potencial das categorias propostas por Fleck para uma melhor compreensão de aspectos associados à Educação em Ciências.

The objective of this paper is to discuss ideas of Ludwik Fleck through a synthesis of case study carried out by Fleck on the syphilis disease associated with an episode in the history of science, the Wassermann reaction, and its relationship with other historical knowledge. Key aspects of Fleck's theory of knowledge are presented throughout this synthesis, bearing in mind that his ideas are not new, but supposing that they keep right today when confronted with characteristics of current scientific work, especially in Modern Physics. It also aims to contribute to the epistemological debate in the literature and to discuss the potential of the categories proposed by Fleck for a better understanding of aspects related to Science Education.
