Tecnologias 3D a serviço de memórias silenciadas : Memorial Pessoas Imprescindíveis, Porto Alegre

Abstract

O uso de tecnologias 3D trouxe contribuições importantes para a preservação do patrimônio cultural nas últimas décadas. Esse uso, no entanto, caracteriza-se, em grande parte, por privilegiar referências culturais institucionalizadas e/ou amplamente consagradas. O presente trabalho discute e apresenta resultados do uso dessas tecnologias na promoção de memórias silenciadas, tomando como exemplo um monumento de denúncia às violências praticadas durante o período ditatorial, o Memorial Pessoas Imprescindíveis, em Porto Alegre. O projeto se deu no contexto da 14ª exposição curricular do curso de Museologia da UFRGS, cujo tema foi a resistência do movimento estudantil na UFRGS durante a ditadura civil-militar (1964-1985), resultando na digitalização 3D da obra, sua reprodução para acessibilidade e difusão online do seu contexto. O estudo destaca o uso crítico dessas tecnologias, a promoção de memórias plurais e o impacto social que essas tecnologias podem gerar.

The use of 3D technologies has made important contributions to the preservation of cultural heritage in recent decades. However, this use is largely characterized by favoring institutionalized and/or widely celebrated cultural references. This paper discusses and presents the results of the use of these technologies in the promotion of silenced memories, taking as an example a monument denouncing the violence committed during the dictatorship period, the Memorial Pessoas Imprescindíveis, in Porto Alegre. The project was carried out in the context of the 14th curricular exhibition of the UFRGS’s Museology course, whose theme was the resistance of the student movement at UFRGS during the civil-military dictatorship (1964-1985), resulting in the 3D digitization of the monument, its reproduction for accessibility and online dissemination of its context. The study highlights the critical use of these technologies, the promotion of plural memories and the social impact that can be generated.
