Ilú : toque da ancestralidade

Abstract

As imagens deste ensaio mostram a montagem de um Ilú, pelas mãos de Walter Mello Ferreira, Pingo Borel, na gravação do documentário etnográfico de mesmo nome, realizado de forma colaborativa com o Centro Cultural Mestre Borel, para a Oficina Especial de Audiovisual NUPEPA/IMARGENS ‐ ICNOVA/LAPS e NAVISUAL/PPGAS e PGDR (UFRGS). A feitura do Ilú é preservação e manutenção de um conhecimento ancestral do Batuque gaúcho. Mais que um tambor, Ilú é objeto vivo, que nasce pelas mãos do artesão alabê.

The images in this essay show the assembly of an Ilú, by the hands of Walter Mello Ferreira, Pingo Borel, in the recording process of the ethnographic documentary of the same name, made in collaboration with the Mestre Borel Cultural Center, for the Special Audiovisual Workshop NUPEPA /IMAGES — ICNOVA/LAPS and NAVISUAL/PPGAS and PGDR (UFRGS). The making of an Ilú is the preservation and maintenance of ancestral knowledge of Batuque Gaucho. More than a drum, Ilú is a living object, born by the hands of the Alabê artisan.
