Tipos e épocas de poda do pessegueiro 'Granada' em pomar conduzido em produção integrada

Abstract

O pessegueiro ‘Granada’ tem apresentado problemas de frutificação, principalmente em anos com altas temperaturas ou grandes oscilações de temperatura durante a florada. Observações preliminares mostraram que esta cultivar não tem respondido bem a poda tradicional realizada pelos produtores, forte no inverno e fraca no verão/outono, com reflexos na produção e na sanidade. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a influência de diversos tipos e épocas de poda na produção, qualidade dos frutos, frutificação efetiva, níveis de reservas e proporção de gemas, em plantas em plena produção. O experimento foi realizado nas safras de 2004 e 2005 em um pomar comercial em Charqueadas/RS. Foram testados sete tratamentos de poda, de inverno, primavera e verão, utilizando desbaste e desponte de ramos. O peso total dos ramos retirados em todas as operações de poda foi menor no tratamento de poda de inverno tardia, seguida de torção, nos dois ciclos estudados. Houve redução da poda de inverno na safra 2005, em relação à de 2004, na maioria dos tratamentos. No raleio da safra 2004 o tratamento de poda de inverno tardia apresentou uma retirada de frutos muito superior em comparação com os outros tratamentos. Na safra 2004, a de poda de limpeza no raleio apresentou uma produção por planta e por área superior aos demais, o que não se repetiu na safra 2005. O tratamento de poda de limpeza no raleio apresentou maior percentagem de cor vermelha na epiderme dos frutos, na média das duas safras. A acidez total titulável (ATT) e o teor de sólidos solúveis totais (SST) não foram influenciados pelos tratamentos. Os tratamentos não diferiram com relação à porcentagem de reservas totais na safra 2005, assim como não foram diferentes para porcentagem de gemas vegetativas abertas (GVA) e frutificação efetiva (FE).

The Granada peach tree has presented fruit set problems, mainly in years with high temperatures or great temperature oscillations during blossom. Preliminary observations showed that this cultivar has not been answered well the traditional pruning accomplished by the producers, strong in the winter and weak in the summer/autumn, with reflexes in the production and in the sanity. The objective of this work was to verify the influence of several types and times of pruning, in the production, fruit quality, fruit set, levels of reserves and bud proportion in plants in full production. The experiment was carried out in the harvests of 2004 and 2005, in a commercial orchard, in Charqueadas/RS. Seven pruning treatments were carried out with winter, spring and summer prunings. The total weight of the removed branches in all of the pruning operations was smaller in the treatment of late winter pruning following by sprain in the two studied cycles. There was a pruning winter reduction in the harvest of 2005 regarding the one of 2004, in most of the treatments. In the thinning of the harvest of 2004 the treatment of late winter pruning presented a retreat of fruits vastly superior in comparison with the other treatments. In the production in the harvest of 2004 the treatment of late winter pruning presented a production for plant and for area higher than others what didn't happened in the harvest of 2005. The treatment of late winter pruning presented a larger percentage of red color in the epidermis of the fruits in the average of the two harvests. ATT and tenor of SST were not influenced by the treatments. The treatments didn't present significant statistic differences regarding the percentage of total reserves in the harvest of 2005, as well as they were not different for percentage of open vegetative buds and fruit set.
