Plantas medicinais e fitoterápicos no município de Tapejara-RS

Abstract

O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar o uso de fitoterápicos, bem como os tipos de plantas mais utilizadas pela população de Tapejara-RS. Diante disso, o problema norteador da presente pesquisa assentou-se em verificar a potencialidade de implantar um horto terapêutico e paisagístico que proporcione o manuseio, a coleta e o uso de plantas pela comunidade. Para tanto adotou-se uma metodologia de abordagem quantitativa, optando-se pela realização de uma pesquisa de levantamento e de caráter descritivo. O universo estudado constitui-se pelos usuários do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), residentes no meio rural e urbano, atendidos pelos três Postos de Saúde do município. A amostra analisada foi composta por 370 sujeitos que aceitaram colaborar com a investigação. A coleta de dados realizou-se por meio do preenchimento de um questionário, aplicado pelas agentes de saúde, atuantes nos referidos postos de saúde, as quais realizam visitas domiciliares aos sujeitos participantes da presente pesquisa. A análise dos dados ocorreu por meio da categorização das informações e o estabelecimento de estreita ligação com os fundamentos norteadores da presente investigação. Como resultado verificou-se que a população faz uso frequentemente de diversas plantas medicinais como terapia complementar em seus tratamentos de saúde. Desse modo, identificou-se de forma positiva a potencialidade de implantação de um horto terapêutico e paisagístico para a comunidade de Tapejara-RS com vistas a estimular o resgate, reconhecimento, cultivo e a conservação de diferentes espécies de plantas, para a produção e consumo comunitário, familiar e escolar no município.

The present study aimed to analyze the use of phytotherapics, as well as the types of plants most used by the population of Tapejara-RS. Therefore, the guiding problem of the present research was to verify the potential of implanting a therapeutic garden and landscape that provides the handling, collection and use of plants by the community. For this, a methodology of quantitative approach was adopted, choosing a survey and a descriptive character. The studied universe is constituted by the users of the Unified Health System (SUS), residing in the rural and urban areas, attended by the three health posts of the municipality. The sample was composed of 370 subjects who agreed to collaborate with the investigation. The data collection was performed through the completion of a questionnaire, applied by the health agents, who work in the referred health posts, who carry out home visits to the subjects participating in the present study. The analysis of the data occurred through the categorization of the information and the establishment of close connection with the guiding principles of the present investigation. As a result it has been found that the population often makes use of various medicinal plants as complementary therapy in their health treatments. Thus, the potential of implementing a therapeutic and landscape garden for the community of Tapejara-RS was identified in a positive way with a view to stimulating the rescue, recognition, cultivation and conservation of different species of plants, for the production and consumption community, family and school in the municipality.
