À margem da espera : escuta e transmissão de testemunhos de violência

Abstract

A presente dissertação tem como ponto de partida as experiências da pesquisadora em diferentes projetos que trabalham com a escuta de testemunhos de violência. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa consiste em discutir as possibilidades de escuta e transmissão desses testemunhos, abordando e problematizando os impasses colocados tanto para quem sofreu episódios de violência quanto para quem os escuta na posição de testemunha. A metodologia utiliza-se das noções de constelação e ensaio, por entender que ao abordarem diferentes perspectivas de imagem e narração refletem pontos-chave do conteúdo trabalhado. Inicialmente apresenta-se o campo da experiência da pesquisadora, onde situam-se os testemunhos de violência e, a partir daí, os caminhos que derivaram questões para a pesquisa, ao passo que se introduzem as noções de espera e limiar. A parte seguinte visa debruçar-se sobre os desafios de “como escutar”, na tentativa de operar uma travessia do silêncio mudo ao silêncio narrativo. Em “como transmitir” propõe-se uma reflexão sobre os atributos alçados à catástrofe - inenarrável e inimaginável - destacando vias já abertas, como a ficção e a imagem, para a sua abordagem. Ao final, aponta-se uma ética do contágio, operada por uma ampliação dos sentidos corporais, como possível caminho para aproximar-se das margens, abrir limiares, e deslocar-se entre diferentes esferas. Fundamentada nos mesmos pressupostos que se defende para noção de testemunho – uma narrativa lacunar e ficcional –, a presente pesquisa não visa alcançar a totalidade e a verdade. Sublinha-se o horizonte inconcluso dessa pesquisa e sugere-se novas travessias a serem realizadas.

The starting point of this dissertation is the experiences of the researcher in different projects that work with the listening of testimonies of violence. The general objective of this research is to discuss the possibilities of listening and transmitting these testimonies, approaching and problematizing the impasses placed both for those who suffered episodes of violence and for those who listen to them in the position of witnesses. The methodology uses the notions of constellation and essay, due to the understanding that when different perspectives of image and narration are approached, key points of the content worked are reflected. Initially, the field of experience in which the researcher found the testimonies of violence is presented and, from it also the paths that derived the questions for the research, introducing the notions of waiting and threshold. The next part aims to address the challenges of "how to listen" in an attempt to bridge the gap between mute silence and narrative silence. In "how to transmit" it is proposed a reflection on the attributes elevated to the catastrophe - unspeakable and unimaginable - approaching ways already opened, such as fiction and image. In the end, an ethic of contagion is pointed out, operated by an enlargement of the bodily senses, as a possible way to tackle the margins, to open thresholds, and to move among different spheres. Based on the same assumptions as the notion of testimony - a lacunar and fictional narrative - the present research does not aim to achieve totality and truth. The unfinished horizon of this research is highlighted, and new crossings are suggested.
