Ação da hipófise, pâncreas e fígado sobre a glicemia e glicogênio da tartaruga phrynops hilarii sob a influência de injeção contínua de glicose

Abstract

Foi estudada a influência da hipofisectomia, pancreatectomia total e hepatectomia sôbre a evolução da glicemia e do glicogênio muscular, hepático e cardíaco de Tartarugas "Phrynops Hilarii" submetidas a injeção contínua de glicose. Em todos os grupos estudados a glicemia sobe na primeira meia hora abruptamente nos hipofisectomizados e hepatectomizados, enquanto que nos pancreatectomizados a subida é idêntica a do grupo normal. Depois da primeira meia hora as curvas fazem um planalto para se conservarem até o final sem diferença significativa com o grupo testemunho, que, sofre uma subida gradativa e contínua. Sàmente o grupo hipofisectomizado apresenta na primeira meia hora diferença significativa com o normal . .. ... . ("t" = 3. 4). ~ste planalto realizado pela curva significa uma passagem da glicose para o meio extra-celular, sendo então discutida a ação da insulina e hormônios hipofisários neste processo. O glicogênio no final da experiência não apresenta diferença com os testemunhos em todos os grupos. Foi discutida detalhadamente a ação que teria a hipofisectomia e pancreatectomia sôbre a deposição · gli~ogenética. Avaliou-se e discutiu-se, ainda, a relação entre massa de fígado, massa corporal total e espaço glicose disponível sendo discutida a influência da insulina e hormônios hipofisários sôbre êste espaço orgânico.

It has been studied the influence of hipofisectomy, complete pancreatectomy and hepatectomy on the evolution of glicemy and of cardiac, hepatic and muscular glyéogen of the "Phrynops Hilarii" turtles, wh ich are submitted to a continue in jection of glycose. In ali the groups, that were studied, the glicemy increases suddenly in the first half an hour on the hipofisectomized and hepatectomized animais, while on the pancreatectomized the increases is identical to the normal group. After the first half an hour the curves make a planteau and keep itself without any significative difference from the testimony group, which suffers a graded and continue increase. Only the hipofisectomized group pr esents, during the first half an hour, a significative difference from the normal ("t" = 3 .4) o This planteau realized by the curve means a passage of glycose to the extra-celular mean, being then discussed the action of the insuline and hipofisary hormones on this process. The glycogen, at the final of the experience, doens't present any difference from the testimonies in ali the groups. It has been discussed particulary the action, that should have the hipofisectomy and pancreatectomy on the glicogenetic disposition. On valued and discussed yet, the relation among the mass o f the li ver, the total mass of the body and the glycose space disposable, being discussed the influence of the insuline and hipofisary hormories on this organic space.
