Territorialidades da prostituição feminina no entorno da Av. Farrapos em Porto Alegre

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa a prostituição de mulheres trans* e cis na região da Avenida Farrapos, em Porto Alegre e objetiva identificar o motivo da concentração da prostituição no eixo existente na Avenida Farrapos e adjacências na cidade de Porto Alegre, além de verificar os outros fatores que caracterizam a prostituição naquela área. Também foi traçada uma breve análise sobre a prostituição, demonstrando a relação entre cliente, cafetões e prostitutas; descrição da relação entre a prostituição e a militância política. Para fazer isso, são apresentados os conceitos de espaço e território e é discutida a territorialidade da prostituição. A metodologia constou de pesquisa bibliográfica para o referencial teórico, pesquisa de campo por meio de entrevistas estruturadas com três prostitutas trans* e três cisgênero, com abordagem qualitativa, colhendo dados narrativos que foram posteriormente ponderados sob a ótica da análise do discurso. A literatura refere que a ocupação do espaço pelas prostitutas é decorrente de uma trajetória histórica: a questão do território faz parte da condição humana e todos os tipos de agrupamento de pessoas caracterizam uma territorialidade. O resultado das entrevistas mostrou que podem haver diferentes territórios para prostitutas trans* e cis e que a natureza deste agrupamento não é efêmera, já que elas estão rotineiramente nos mesmos pontos e se conhecem. Concluiu-se que há necessidade de continuidade das pesquisas sobre o tema, especialmente em relação aos clientes da prostituição.

This work dealt with the analysis of prostitution of trans* and cis women in the region of Avenida Farrapos, in Porto Alegre. The general objective was to identify the reason for the concentration of prostitution on the existing axis on Avenida Farrapos and its surroundings in the city of Porto Alegre, in addition to verifying other factors that characterize prostitution in that area and the specific objectives were to outline a brief analysis of prostitution, demonstrating the relationship between client, pimps and prostitutes; describe the relationship between prostitution and political activism; present the concepts of space and territory, feminist geography and discuss the space and territoriality of prostitution. The methodology consisted of bibliographic research for the theoretical framework, field research through structured interviews with three trans * and three cisgender prostitutes, with a qualitative approach, collecting narrative data that were later considered under the perspective of discourse analysis. The literature states that the occupation of space by prostitutes is due to a historical trajectory, the issue of territory is part of the human condition and all types of group of people characterize territoriality. The results of the interviews showed that there are no different territories for trans * and cis prostitutes, as they operate in the same territory and that the nature of this group is not ephemeral, since they are routinely at the same points and know each other. It was concluded that there is a need for further research on the topic, especially in relation to prostitution clients.
