Outridade no jornalismo : uma análise da construção do outro na narrativa das Hard News da Editoria Cotidiano da Folha de S. Paulo

Abstract

O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo geral entender a construção narrativa do outro nas hard news da editoria Cotidiano do jornal Folha de S. Paulo. Em busca de uma resposta para o problema de pesquisa – como o outro é construído na narrativa jornalística das hard news do jornal Folha de São Paulo? –, o trabalho divide-se em dois eixos teóricos: o estudo do jornalismo e o estudo da alteridade e da outridade. Em relação ao jornalismo, compreendemos que ele é uma forma de conhecimento que se baseia na construção da realidade social, sendo assim, os textos presentes nos jornais auxiliam a sociedade a compreender – e também a manter – essa realidade. Sobre a alteridade e a outridade, trouxemos referências da filosofia para explicar os conceitos, além de contextualizá-los dentro do jornalismo. Como metodologias, utilizamos, para a parte quantitativa, a Análise de Conteúdo e, para a parte qualitativa, a Análise de Narrativa. Ao fazermos o levantamento e a organização do material presente na editoria Cotidiano, na versão digitalizada de sua versão impressa, no período de julho a outubro de 2019, encontramos 298 hard news. Por meio da Análise de Conteúdo, separamos o corpus consolidado, que contou com 183 hard news, nos quais identificamos seis tipos de sujeitos: o outro criminoso, o outro familiar, o outro invisível, o outro personalidade, o outro vítima e o outro testemunha.

The present final paper has, as a general objective, to understand the narrative construction of the other in the hard news in the daily section of the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo. In search of an answer to the question of the research problem – how is the other constructed in the journalistic narrative of the hard news of the Folha de São Paulo newspaper? - the work is divided in two theoretical axes: the study of journalism and a study of alterity and otherness. In relation to journalism, we understand that it is a form of knowledge that is based on the construction of social reality, therefore, the texts present in newspapers help society to understand - and also maintain - that reality. On alternity and otherness, we brought references from philosophy to explain the concepts, in addition to contextualizing them within journalism. As methodologies, we use, for the quantitative part, the Content Analysis and, for the qualitative part, the Narrative Analysis. When we surveyed and organized the material present in the daily edition in the digital version of its printed version, from July to October 2019, we found 298 hard news. Through Content Analysis, we separated the consolidated corpus, which featured 183 hard news, in which we identified six types of subjects: the other criminal, the other family member, the invisible one, the other personality, the other victim and the other witness.
