Itinerários do futsal no Rio Grande do Sul (1980-1990)

Abstract

O estudo se propõe a investigar como se sucedeu o estabelecimento do futsal no Rio Grande do Sul, no período das décadas de 1980 e 1990. A pesquisa histórico-documental foi realizada por meio da revisão bibliográfica, análise de documentos e de entrevistas com personagens do futsal no Rio Grande do Sul, os quais ocuparam distintos papéis ao longo das décadas de 1980 e 1990. Os entrevistados foram: dois árbitros, dois atletas, dois treinadores, dois dirigentes da Federação Gaúcha de Futebol de Salão (FGFS) e duas personalidades reconhecidas no cenário esportivo pelo conhecimento a respeito do futsal. As fontes revelaram que a Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) instituiu o futsal em 1989 e, no ano seguinte, em 1990, a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol de Salão (CBFS), antes atrelada a Federação Internacional de Futebol de Salão (FIFUSA), vinculou-se a FIFA. De tal modo, houve uma maior internacionalização do futsal. Ao analisar os documentos e depoimentos dos entrevistados, percebe-se que o futsal obteve uma maior atenção de patrocinadores e da imprensa, incluindo a televisão.

The study aims to investigate how the establishment of futsal in Rio Grande do Sul happened, in the period of the 1980s and 1990s. The historical-documentary research was carried out through bibliographic review, analysis of documents and interviews with characters from the futsal in Rio Grande do Sul, who played different roles throughout the 1980s and 1990s. The interviewees were: two referees, two athletes, two coaches, two directors of the Gaúcha Indoor Soccer Federation (FGFS) and two recognized personalities in the sports scene by the knowledge about futsal. The sources revealed that the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) instituted futsal in 1989 and, in the following year, in 1990, the Brazilian Confederation of Indoor Soccer (CBFS), previously linked to the International Indoor Soccer Federation (FIFUSA), linked to FIFA. In this way, there was a greater internationalization of futsal. When analyzing the interviewees' documents and testimonies, it is clear that futsal received a greater attention from sponsors and the press, including television.
