Geração alpha e mídias móveis : usos, relações e modos de aprender

Abstract

A contemporaneidade vem sendo atravessada por alguns tensionamentos no ambiente escolar provenientes de práticas adotadas por estudantes, as quais, muitas vezes, não estão de acordo com o comportamento desejado pelas instituições de ensino. O uso das mídias móveis durante as aulas é um bom exemplo de atitudes que acabam ocasionando desconforto e, muitas vezes, conflitos entre professores e estudantes, principalmente dos anos finais do ensino fundamental. Considerando que vivemos em uma sociedade tecnológica e que estes alunos já nasceram totalmente conectados, é importante que escolas e profissionais de ensino incorporem os recursos digitais disponíveis em seu cotidiano e se adaptem a esta nova realidade. Assim, o propósito deste estudo é o de contribuir para a reflexão de como as mídias móveis, em particular os telefones celulares, estão imbricados no cotidiano dos jovens estudantes e como essa tecnologia poderia ser utilizada para auxiliar no processo de ensino tornando as aulas mais atrativas e consonantes com a realidade da sociedade atual. Para atingir este objetivo, o trabalho investigativo foi realizado com uma turma de 15 alunos do 7º ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola pública mantida pelo estado. Foi utilizada a metodologia de pesquisa exploratória e utilizados os métodos de observação não participante, questionários e entrevistas. A observação, com duração de uma semana, foi realizada com a intenção de acompanhar os discentes em seu cotidiano escolar. Posteriormente, foram distribuídos questionários dirigidos para os alunos da turma, os pais e os professores dos anos finais da escola. Os 15 alunos responderam ao questionário e 7 professores participaram da pesquisa com suas respostas. Para os pais, o questionário foi impresso e enviado através dos adolescentes. Somente 7 famílias devolveram o questionário preenchido. A fim de enriquecer a pesquisa, também foram realizadas entrevistas informais com a diretora, a supervisora e a orientadora escolar. Para embasamento teórico foram considerados os teóricos Juarez Dayrell, Zygmunt Bauman e Donna Haraway, entre outros estudiosos, articulando as ideias destes autores com outras publicações sobre o tema. Os resultados obtidos revelam a necessidade de aprofundar a discussão sobre este assunto com o objetivo de produzir orientações claras sobre como incorporar o celular ou outras mídias móveis como ferramenta pedagógica, a fim de tornar o espaço escolar um ambiente atrativo para os jovens estudantes.

Contemporaneity has been crossed by some tensions in the school environment arising from practices adopted by students, which are often not in accordance with the behavior desired by educational institutions. The use of mobile media during classes is a good example of attitudes that end up causing discomfort and, often, conflicts between teachers and students, especially in the final years of elementary school. Considering that we live in a technological society and that these students were born fully connected, it is important that schools and teaching professionals incorporate the digital resources available in their daily lives and adapt to this new reality. Thus, the purpose of this study is to contribute to the reflection of how mobile media, in particular cell phones, are imbricated in the daily lives of young students and how this technology could be used to assist in the teaching process, making classes more attractive. and in line with the reality of today's society. To achieve this objective, the investigative work was carried out with a class of 15 students from the 7th year of elementary school at a public school maintained by the state. Exploratory research methodology was used and non-participant observation methods, questionnaires and interviews were used. The observation, lasting one week, was carried out with the intention of accompanying the students in their school routine. Subsequently, questionnaires were distributed to students in the class, parents and teachers in the final years of the school. The 15 students answered the questionnaire and 7 teachers participated in the survey with their answers. For parents, the questionnaire was printed and sent through the adolescents. Only 7 families returned the completed questionnaire. In order to enrich the research, informal interviews were also carried out with the principal, supervisor and school counselor. For theoretical basis, theorists Juarez Dayrell, Zygmunt Bauman and Donna Haraway, among other scholars, were considered, articulating the ideas of these authors with other publications on the subject. The results obtained reveal the need to deepen the discussion on this subject in order to produce clear guidelines on how to incorporate the cell phone or other mobile media as a pedagogical tool, in order to make the school space an attractive environment for young students.
