O desenvolvimento da indústria automobilística e o transporte rodoviário no Brasil no século XX

Abstract

Neste trabalho, o transporte é reconhecido como um bem econômico, e também como ferramenta que pode ser utilizada pelos governos a fim de promover o desenvolvimento e crescimento de regiões. Como mais da metade da matriz de transportes brasileira está concentrado no modal rodoviário, foram abordadas questões de infraestrutura e da indústria automobilística. Como a infraestrutura de transporte pode atuar de diferentes formas nas regiões que atende, foram abordados os efeitos que o provimento de infraestrutura de transportes pode ocasionar. Porém, sem pretender analisar todas as questões derivadas do transporte rodoviário, foi examinado, em particular, a indústria automobilística e como ela atingiu sua situação atual. Ao analisar a indústria automobilística, foram considerados contexto histórico, políticas governamentais que beneficiaram direta e indiretamente o setor, bem como seu estágio atual, e de que forma se relaciona com a economia do país. Este trabalho analisa, portanto, os impactos do provimento de infraestrutura de transporte e das políticas governamentais sobre o desenvolvimento da indústria automobilística e do transporte rodoviário no Brasil.

On this work, transportation is recognized as an economic asset, as well as a tool that can be used by the government to provide development and growth of any region. Considering that more than half of the Brazilian transportation matrix is concentrated on road transport, questions about infrastructure and the automobile industry were posed. Noticing that the transportation infrastructure can act on each region in different ways, the effects that providing the infrastructure may cause were studied. However, without aiming on analyzing all questions that come from road transport, was examined, in particular, the automobile industry and how it reached its current situation. While analyzing that, the historic context, governmental politics that benefited directly and indirectly the sector, as well as its current stage, and the way it relates to the country‟s economy were considered. Therefore, this work analyzes the impact of providing transportation infrastructure and governmental politics on the development of the automobile industry and road transport in Brazil.
