Atividade leiteira no município de Serafina Corrêa : casos de sucessão rural

Abstract

O trabalho tem como tema principal a sucessão rural, que é um dos grandes desafios para a continuidade das atividades nas unidades de produção agrícolas (UPA’s). Assim, a motivação para o presente estudo parte da percepção de que, atualmente, é significativo o avanço do êxodo rural, principalmente de jovens que vão para a cidade em busca de formação acadêmica, mas também, de outras oportunidades que ele não vislumbra no campo ou na propriedade familiar. Assim, para este estudo, foram priorizadas propriedades produtoras de leite, que pertencem ao município de Serafina Côrrea/RS, que passam por processos de sucessão rural, tendo como objetivo geral analisar o processo de sucessão rural nas UPA’s produtoras de leite no município de Serafina Côrrea-RS e identificar os fatores que impactam na renda das famílias. Para a pesquisa foi realizada inicialmente um processo de revisão bibliográfica, com termos como sucessão rural, pluriatividade e produção leiteira, e, posteriormente, foi realizado um breve levantamento de dados através de uma pesquisa via questionário, através do aplicativo WhatsApp e, posteriormente, a partir da análise dos resultados obtidos, foi realizado uma pesquisa complementar, através de entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas pessoalmente com 6 UPA’s escolhidas para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, sendo que todas elas possuem a atividade leiteira como principal fonte de renda. Destaca-se que os objetivos do presente estudo foram alcançados em sua totalidade, pois pode-se verificar como a atividade leiteira contribui para, na maioria das vezes, a sucessão rural nas UPA’s analisadas. A atividade leiteira, por mais dificuldades que possa enfrentar sempre terá sua sustentabilidade, mantendo as pequenas e grandes UPA’s com sua fonte de renda fixa mensal e que a sucessão rural por mais árdua que possa ser é viabilizada pelo interesse dos jovens em se manter no meio rural e o entendimento com os antecessores é essencial para seu sucesso. Assim, durante as visitas nas UPA’s para a realização das entrevistas foi possível identificar o comprometimento dos atores em participar do levantamento de dados, sendo que essa colaboração foi essencial para o desenvolvimento do trabalho. Percebe-se que uma das principais preocupações dos atores é o alto custo de produção na atividade leiteira e os baixos valores pagos pelo litro de leite produzido e comercializado, conforme demonstra a literatura pesquisada.

The work has as main topic the rural succession, which is one of the great challenges for the continuity of the activities in the agricultural production units (APU’s). Therefore, the motivation for the current study comes from the perception that, currently, the rural exodus advance is significant, mainly from young people, who go to town in the search for academic qualification, but also for other opportunities that they don’t glimpse in the countryside or on family ownership. Therefore, for this study, milk producing properties which belong to municipality of Serafina Corrêa – RS and go through rural succession processes were prioritized, with overall objective to analyse the rural succession process in the APU´s milk producing in the municipality of Serafina Corrêa – RS and to identify the factors that impact the family incomes. For the research, a process of bibliographic review was initially accomplished, with terms as rural succession, pluriactivity and milk producing and, subsequently, a brief data collection via a questionnaire through WhatsApp was achieved and later, from the analysis of the obtained results, a complementary research was performed, through semi-structured interviews held in person with 6 APU’s which were chosen for the research development, all of which have the milk producing as the main source of income. It stands out that the objectives of the current study were accomplished in its entirety because it can be seen how the milk producing contributes for the most part, for the APU’s rural succession analysed. The more difficulties the milk producing may face, it will always have its sustainability, by keeping the small and big APU’s with their fixed monthly income and that the most difficult the rural succession may be, it is viable for young people’s interests in order to maintain themselves in rural areas and the agreement with the predecessors is essential for its success. Therefore, during the visits in the APU’s to the achievement of the interviews it was possible to identify the actors’ engagement in attending the data collectio n, considering that this collaboration was essential for the work development. It can be noticed that one of the main concerns of the actors is the high cost of production in the milk producing and low values paid for the produced and marketed litre of milk, according to the surveyed literature demonstrates.
