Gestão democrática e participação das crianças : da legislação ao cotidiano escolar

Abstract

Este estudo é decorrente de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo estado do conhecimento, cujo objetivo geral foi investigar se as crianças participam das decisões nas unidades de ensino às quais pertencem e de que forma(s) isso acontece no cotidiano da gestão democrática das escolas brasileiras. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, com vistas a examinar a temática da participação das crianças da Educação Infantil e Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. A base de dados desta investigação foram as publicações acadêmicas científicas da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) do Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (IBICT). Com recorte temporal de 2019-2023, a análise bibliográfica resgatou 9 obras de relevância, sendo apenas duas delas diretamente relacionadas ao tema desta investigação. O aporte teórico apresenta um breve panorama das Escolas Municipais de Educação Infantil (EMEIs) JP Cantinho Amigo e Dona Leopoldina, ambas escolas exemplificadoras que implementam em seu cotidiano práticas de gestão democrática participativa, com vistas ao alcance de uma educação de qualidade. Entre os resultados obtidos, ressalta-se a importância atribuída a necessidade de professores e gestores conhecerem e se apropriarem dos documentos oficiais que regem os direitos das crianças e da necessidade de formação inicial e continuada.

This work is the result of a bibliographical research of the state of knowledge type, whose general objective was to investigate whether children participate in decisions in the teaching units to which they belong and how does this happen in the daily life of Democratic management in Brazilian schools. This is a qualitative research, with a view to examining the theme of the participation of children in Early Childhood Education and the Early Years of Elementary School. The database for this investigation was the scientific academic publications of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT). With a time, frame of 2019-2023, the bibliographic analysis recovered 9 works of relevance to this study, only two of which were directly related to the topic of this research. The theoretical contribution presents a brief overview of the Municipal Early Childhood Education Schools (EMEIs) JP Cantinho Amigo and Dona Leopoldina, both exemplary schools that implement participatory democratic management practices in their daily lives, with a view to achieving quality education. Among the results obtained, the importance attributed to the need for teachers and managers to know and appropriate the concepts of official documents that govern children's rights and the need for initial and continuing training stands out.
