À imagem e semelhança : máquina, homem e imaginários em circulação

Abstract

A relação homem-máquina vem ocupando o imaginário social desde muito tempo. Do entretenimento à pesquisa, o debate em torno de um futuro regido por máquinas ultrapassa a dimensão distópica quando, cada vez mais, a mediação dos aparatos tecnológicos se interpõe nos processos interacionais, não apenas enquanto lócus onde tais interações ocorrem, mas também como elementos do processo comunicacional envoltos em operações de sentido. Assim, o interesse está em compreender os imaginários midiáticos (Rosa, 2020) que circulam em torno da relação homem-máquina e de que maneira podemos pensar em midiatização profunda (Couldry; Hepp, 2020) ou em hipermidiatização (Verón, 1997; Carlón, 2020). Provocamos a pensar sobre a manutenção de estereótipos e estigmas sociais agenciados nesse jogo de imaginações: o homem que imagina a máquina, a máquina que imagina o homem e o imaginário em coprodução.

The man-machine relationship has been occupying the social imaginary for a long time. From entertainment to research, the debate around a future governed by machines goes beyond the dystopian dimension when, more and more, the mediation of technological devices is interposed in interactional processes, not only as a locus where such interactions occur but as elements of the process of communication involved in operations of meaning. Thus, our interest lies in understanding the media imaginaries (Rosa, 2020) that circulate around the man- machine relationship and how we can think of deep mediatization (Couldry; Hepp, 2020) or hyper-mediatization (Verón, 1997; Carlón, 2020). We provoke to think about the mainte- nance of stereotypes and social stigmas that are mediated in this imagination game: man imagining machine, machine imagining man, and the imaginary in co-production.
