Análise do serviço de referência virtual nas bibliotecas universitárias da UFRGS

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa o Serviço de Referência Virtual (SRV) nas bibliotecas universitárias da UFRGS, com foco nas plataformas digitais de websites institucionais e Instagram. O objetivo é examinar a configuração do SRV, identificando práticas, lacunas e oportunidades de melhoria. Os resultados mostram que o SRV está presente em 100% dos websites analisados, mas apontam a necessidade de melhorias na visibilidade do suporte online e na padronização dos serviços. No Instagram, observou-se a predominância de conteúdos informacionais e linguagem intermediária. Bibliotecas com maior frequência de postagens apresentaram maior engajamento dos usuários. As recomendações incluem a padronização dos websites, o fortalecimento da presença no Instagram, o aumento da acessibilidade digital e a diversificação das capacitações. Tais ações visam aprimorar o acesso à informação, promover a inclusão e fortalecer o papel das bibliotecas da UFRGS no apoio à pesquisa, ensino e extensão.

This study analyzes the Virtual Reference Service (VRS) in university libraries at UFRGS, focusing on the digital platforms of institutional websites and Instagram. The objective is to examine the configuration of the VRS, identifying practices, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. The results show that the VRS is present in 100% of the analyzed websites, but highlight the need for improvements in the visibility of online support and the standardization of services. On Instagram, there was a predominance of informational content and an intermediate language style. Libraries with a higher frequency of posts showed greater user engagement. The recommendations include standardizing the websites, strengthening the presence on Instagram, increasing digital accessibility, and diversifying training opportunities. These actions aim to improve access to information, promote inclusion, and strengthen the role of UFRGS libraries in supporting research, teaching, and extension.
