Do Black, Blanc, Beur à volta do Bleu, Blanc et Rouge : uma análise sobre a repercussão da mídia francesa sobre os títulos das copas do mundo das seleções de 1998 e 2018

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como tema as percepções da mídia francesa com relação à presença de imigrantes nos elencos campeões das copas do mundo de 1998 e 2018. Com relação a este tema, percebe-se que a maioria dos trabalhos existentes foca em um momento ou no outro, e não nos dois momentos a título de comparação. Sendo assim, a pergunta que orienta o presente trabalho é: como os principais periódicos franceses repercutiram a presença de imigrantes, ou descendentes, nos elencos campeões das Copas do Mundo de 1998 e 2018? O objetivo geral da pesquisa é ver as principais semelhanças e diferenças nos conteúdos publicados pela mídia francesa sobre os períodos em questão. Quanto aos objetivos específicos, o primeiro é baseando-se nas premissas da teoria pós-colonial, analisar o conteúdo produzido pela imprensa francesa a respeito da presença de imigrantes nas seleções campeãs das copas do mundo de 1998 e 2018. Na sequência, se pretende analisar as principais similaridades e diferenças nos conteúdos produzidos sobre essa presença de imigrantes na seleção. Por fim, busca-se analisar como esse conteúdo refletiu as tensões sociais de cada época e se serviu para diminuí-las ou inflá-las. A metodologia utilizada será uma análise de conteúdo, aliada a uma revisão de literatura teórica e uma revisão de literatura temática. No quesito da revisão de literatura teórica, a pesquisa será feita com base nas premissas da teoria Pós-Colonial, principalmente no que tange o tema da imigração.

This paper focuses on the perceptions of the French media regarding the presence of immigrants in the winning teams of the 1998 and 2018 World Cups. Regarding this topic, it is clear that most existing works focus on one moment or the other, and not on both moments for the purpose of comparison. Therefore, the question that guides this paper is: how did the main French newspapers report on the presence of immigrants, or their descendants, in the winning teams of the 1998 and 2018 World Cups? The general objective of the research is to see the main similarities and differences in the content published by the French media about the periods in question. As for the specific objectives, the first is, based on the premises of postcolonial theory, to analyze the content produced by the French press regarding the presence of immigrants in the winning teams of the 1998 and 2018 World Cups. Next, we intend to analyze the main similarities and differences in the content produced about this presence of immigrants in the selection. Finally, we seek to analyze how this content reflected the social tensions of each era and whether it served to reduce or inflate them. The methodology used will be a content analysis, combined with a theoretical literature review and a thematic literature review. In terms of the theoretical literature review, the research will be based on the premises of Post-Colonial theory, especially with regard to the theme of immigration.
