Disputas online pelos sentidos da paisagem urbana : as orlas de porto alegre no FLICKR

Abstract

Este trabalho busca investigar relações entre o espaço urbano e a realidade social a partir de discursividades da paisagem no ciberespaço. A paisagem é compreendida como expressão da experiência humana enquanto ato existencial, coletivo, disputado e apreendido, em larga escala no século XXI, por meio de materialidades fragmentadas e hipertextuais, próprias das redes sociais online. Trazemos como objeto empírico as orlas de Porto Alegre no FlickR, de forma a investigar como o fechamento para obras (outubro de 2015) e a inauguração (julho de 2018) do primeiro trecho do projeto “Parque Urbano Orla do Guaíba” repercutiram nas práticas e sentidos atribuídos a essa paisagem. Para tanto, extraímos metadados de postagens do FlickR referentes às orlas de Porto Alegre, desde a primeira postagem, em 2000, até o final do ano de 2019. Passamos as etapas de organização dos dados coletados, inserção em base cartográfica e análise de conteúdo, com foco nas configurações espaço-temporais da paisagem ao longo do tempo. Como resultados, salientamos um reforço das paisagens das orlas de Porto Alegre como relacionadas ao Centro Histórico e arredores, tanto pelas interações entre usuários na plataforma (visualizações, comentários e “favoritações”) quanto como pela reabertura do primeiro trecho do projeto.

This work seeks to investigate relations between urban space and social reality through landscape discourse in cyberspace. The landscape is understood as an expression of human experience as an existential, collective, and disputed act, apprehended, throughout the 21st century, through fragmented and hypertextual materialities, typical of online social networks. We present as the object of study the waterfronts of Porto Alegre in FlickR, to investigate how the closing for works (October 2015) and the inauguration (July 2018) of the first stretch of the project “Parque Urbano Orla do Guaíba” impacted the practices and meanings attributed to this landscape. For this purpose, we extracted metadata from FlickR posts referring to Porto Alegre's borders from the first post, in 2000, until the end of 2019. We proceeded to the stages of organization of the collected data, insertion on a cartographic basis and content analysis, with a focus on the spatiotemporal configurations of the landscape over time. As a result, we highlight a strengthening of the waterfront landscape as related to the Historic District and surroundings, both due to the interactions among users on the platform (views, comments, and favourites) and to the reopening of the first stretch of the project.
