O diploma de genoveva : trajetórias de um documento no acervo histórico da Sociedade Polônia de Porto Alegre/RS

Abstract

O presente trabalho se propõe a analisar a trajetória de um documento pertencente ao acervo histórico da Sociedade Polônia de Porto Alegre, o Diploma de Rainha da Primavera de 1949. A investigação apresenta o percurso desse objeto-documento através de pesquisas bibliográficas e documentais, bem como por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, de forma a compreender a história desse objeto considerado testemunho de uma determinada época e repleto de diferentes significados individuais e coletivos. Esta pesquisa abrange a contextualização da história da imigração polonesa, a criação da Sociedade Polônia de Porto Alegre, a parceria da instituição com o Grupo Sépia UFRGS e suas ações desenvolvidas no acervo. O embasamento teórico do trabalho utiliza conceitos de memória social, história dos objetos, objeto testemunho e preservação dialogando com diversos autores do campo da Museologia e da História. Por fim, a pesquisa evidencia por meio da trajetória deste diploma como ele se constitui como objeto-documento-testemunho de importantes atividades que ocorriam na Sociedade Polônia na década de 1940/50, o qual é capaz de contribuir para o conhecimento e socialização de histórias e memórias ainda desconhecidas e que potencializam a preservação da cultura polonesa em Porto Alegre.

This paper aims to analyze the trajectory of a document belonging to the historical collection of the Polish Society of Porto Alegre, the 1949 Spring Queen Diploma. The research presents the journey of this object-document through bibliographical and documentary research, as well as through semi-structured interviews, in order to understand the history of this object considered a testimony of a certain era and full of different individual and collective meanings. This research covers the contextualization of the history of Polish immigration, the creation of the Polish Society of Porto Alegre, the institution's partnership with the Sépia UFRGS Group and its actions developed in the collection. The theoretical basis of the work uses concepts of social memory, history of objects, testimonial objects and heritage, in dialogue with various authors from the fields of Museology and History. Finally, the research shows through the trajectory of this diploma how it is constituted as an object-document-testimony of important activities that took place in the Polish Society in the 1940s and 50s, which is able to contribute to the knowledge and socialization of stories and memories that are still unknown and that enhance the preservation of Polish culture in Porto Alegre.
