Qualificação do manual "Câncer de Mama : orientações para pacientes e familiares"

Abstract

O câncer de mama é a neoplasia mais comum na população feminina. A doença influencia a vida da mulher, comprometendo-a física, emocional e socialmente. Devido à malignidade da doença e o impacto do tratamento é importante fornecer orientações para um melhor enfrentamento das diversas etapas do tratamento e das repercussões do câncer. Uma estratégia utilizada é o uso de manuais educativos. Esses subsidiam as orientações verbais dos profissionais de saúde aos pacientes e familiares. Sabe-se que é necessário seguir critérios durante o processo de construção de um manual. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo elaborar e qualificar um manual de orientações para pacientes com câncer de mama e seus familiares. As etapas percorridas foram a revisão de literatura sobre o assunto; montagem de um manual piloto; qualificação deste com profissionais da área de saúde, pacientes com câncer de mama e seus familiares; revisão das sugestões recebidas e construção da versão final do manual. Como resultado, obteve-se o manual intitulado “Câncer de mama: orientações para pacientes e familiares”, que aborda as repercussões do câncer de mama, desde o diagnóstico até a reabilitação da paciente portadora da doença. Considera-se que esse manual possa contribuir para a promoção da saúde, prevenção das complicações, melhor reabilitação e redução das dúvidas.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. The disease affects a woman's life, affecting her physically, emotionally and socially. Because of the malignity of the disease and the impact of treatment it is important to provide information to better cope with the various stages of the treatment and the impact of cancer. One possible strategy is the use of educational manuals. These subsidize the verbal instructions of health professionals to patients and families. It is known that the following criteria is required during the construction process of a book. This study aimed to develop and qualify a manual of guidelines for patients with breast cancer and their families. The steps followed were the review of literature on the subject; assembling a manual mode; its qualification with health care professionals, patients with breast cancer and their families; review the suggestions received and construction of the final version of the manual. As a result, we obtained the manual entitled "Breast cancer: guidelines for patients and families," which discusses the impact of breast cancer, from the diagnosis to rehabilitation of the patient with the disease. It is considered that this manual will contribute to health promotion, prevention of complications, better rehabilitation and reduction of the doubt.
