Enredamentos de gênero no ensino da arte : investigando os estereótipos na arte e na cultura visual

Abstract

A presente pesquisa parte, inicialmente, de uma problematização das discussões sobre identidade trazidas por Zygmunt Bauman, Stuart Hall e Tomaz Tadeu da Silva. Em seguida, detém-se na temática de gênero, entendo-a como um estudo oriundo da problemática da identidade. Nesse sentido, este trabalho constrói-se na medida em que investiga os estereótipos vinculados às identidades de gênero, localizando tanto a permanência, assim como a transgressão desses, que nesse último caso designo como poética de deslocamento. As poéticas de deslocamento, que se potencializam enquanto instâncias de escapes, desvios, transgressões, questionamento das normas e padrões de gênero cristalizados pela cultura, são o prisma pelo qual é abordada a identidade de gênero, como forma de deslocar e borrar as molduras dos estereótipos que enquadram e modelam as identidades de gênero. Estas permanências e/ou deslocamentos são compreendidos, num primeiro momento, na perspectiva da esfera erudita da arte, por meio da análise de alguns trabalhos da série Untitled Film Still (1977–1980) de Cindy Sherman e das relações tecidas em torno do fazer da costura na obra de Leonilson e na série Bastidores (1997) de Rosana Paulino. Os estereótipos de gênero foram analisados da mesma forma, no encontro que se estabeleceu entre a cultura visual e o ensino da arte. Através de uma abordagem do repertório cultural trazidos pelos alunos das turmas de estágio curricular obrigatório (7ª série), no qual se sobressaiu a presença do funk carioca, desencadeou-se uma experiência pedagógica, marcada pela construção de documentários sobre o funk carioca, os quais serão aqui analisados segundo a ótica da temática de gênero.

This research is an initial questioning of discussions about identity brought by Zygmunt Bauman, Stuart Hall and Tomaz Tadeu da Silva. Then focuses on the gender issue, I see it as a problem arising from the study of identity. Accordingly, this paper builds up in that investigates stereotypes related to gender identities, locating both the permanence of these stereotypes, as well as their transgression, which designate this research as poetic displacement. The poetics of displacement, which potentiate while instances of leaks, deviations, transgressions, questioning the norms and gender patterns crystallized by culture, is the prism through which addresses gender identity as a way to move and blur the frames of stereotypes that frame and shape gender identities. These continuities and / or displacements are understood, at first, in view of the sphere of classical art through the analysis of some works from the series Untitled Film Still (1977-1980) Cindy Sherman and relationships woven around the making sewing in the work of Leonilson and the series Backstage (1997), by Rosana Paulino. Gender stereotypes were analyzed in the same way, the meeting established between visual culture and art education. By addressing the cultural repertoire brought by the students of classes curricular mandatory (grade 7), in which excelled the presence of the funk carioca, unleashed it a teaching experience, marked by the construction of documentaries about the funk, which will be examined here from the perspective of gender issues.
