O problema dos arquivos universitários : o estudo do caso do Arquivo do Instituto de Artes da UFRGS Porto Alegre

Abstract

O Instituto de Artes da UFRGS desde sua fundação teve o cuidado de organizar, conservar e preservação sua produção documental. Analisando a história da Instituição é possível observar iniciativas inovadoras para época no que diz respeito à organização de documentos. Através do estudo de leis, regulamentos e estatutos foi iniciado um mapeamento da construção do acervo da instituição. Acompanhando esta trajetória foi possível analisar as etapas de constituição do arquivo universitário da instituição. Os processos de incorporação do Instituto de Artes a URGS, as seis exclusões e inclusões durante o período de 1939-1950 até sua integração definitiva a UFRGS em 1962 são objeto de estudo para compreender as profundas mudanças administrativas no seio da organização. O abandono do acervo documental exposto a agentes biológicos e ambientais são analisados como resultado deste processo de sucessivas mudanças organizacionais. Por fim são apresentados os projetos de revitalização do acervo, resultados obtidos com as intervenções arquivísticas realizadas no arquivo universitário, o estado atual do acervo e projetos futuros.

The Art Institute of UFRGS since its founding has been careful to organize, store and preserve their documentary production. Looking at the history of the institution is possible to see initiatives to time regarding the organization of documents. Through the study of laws, regulations, and started to map the construction of the holdings of the institution. Following this trajectory, one may look at the steps of formation of the institution's academic file. The process of incorporating the Institute of the Arts URGS the six deletions and additions during the period 1939-1950 to its definitive integration UFRGS in 1962 are the object of study to understand the profound administrative changes within the organization. The abandonment of the documentary exposed to biological agents and environment are analyzed as a result of this process of successive organizational changes. Finally present the projects to revitalize the collection, results obtained with the archival operations performed in the university, the current state of the holdings and future projects.
