Estimativa de recarga do aquífero Guarani na bacia do Rio Ibicuí(RS), com base na aplicação do método de variação dos níveis de água

Abstract

A estimativa de recargas aquíferas é um fator determinante para a gestão sustentável das águas subterrâneas, uma vez que permite, a longo prazo, a manutenção da quantidade e qualidade da água dos aquíferos. Para a estimativa de recargas aquíferas existem diversos métodos que podem ser empregados e que variam de acordo com as características da área estudada e as escalas a serem trabalhadas. Este trabalho busca estimar a recarga do Sistema Aquífero Guarani na bacia do rio Ibicuí, com base na aplicação do método Variação dos Níveis d'Água (VNA). Os dados de nível d'água foram obtidos de oito poços de monitoramento pertencentes a rede RIMAS (CPRM), instalados na bacia do rio Ibicuí. O método foi aplicado para a média mensal dos níveis de água em cada poço de monitoramento, em períodos que variaram entre 24 e 39 meses. Os valores de recarga obtidos foram avaliados com a precipitação mensal, para o mesmo período, e então obtevese a quantidade de precipitação que corresponde ou que pode ser considerada como recarga. Estes resultados variaram entre 11 % e 30 %, com média de 16,54 %. O método, de maneira geral, se mostrou de fácil aplicabilidade, ocorrendo boas correspondências entre a precipitação e as elevações dos níveis d'água. Fez-se também a comparação dos resultados na aplicação do método VNA com a aplicação do método do escoamento de base, também na bacia do Ibicuí, em trabalho realizado no ano de 2013.

The estimation of groundwater recharge is a determining factor to the sustainable management of the groundwater, once that allows, at a long term, the maintenance of the quantity and quality of the water in aquifers. To the estimation of aquifer recharges there are different methods that can be used and which change according to the characteristics of the area in study and the scales to be worked. This work seeks to estimate the recharge of the Guarani Aquifer System in the Ibicuí River basin, based on the application of the Water-Table Fluctuation (WTF) method. The water level data were obtained from eight monitoring wells that belong to RIMAS (CPRM) and that are installed in the Ibicuí River basin. The method was applied to the monthly average of the water level to each monitoring well, in periods between 24 and 29 months. The values of recharge obtained were compared with the monthly precipitation, to the same period, and then it was obtained the amount of precipitation that is or can be considered as recharge. These results vary between 11 % and 30 %, with average of 16,54 %. The method, generally speaking, was easy to apply, with great corresponding between precipitation and the water level elevations. A parallel was made between the results at the application of WTF method with the application of base flow separation method, applied also in the Ibicui River basin, in a study made at the year of 2013.
