Sofrimento psíquico de mães de crianças com câncer e a escuta do irrepresentável

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca compreender algumas possíveis significações do sofrimento psíquico materno diante de um filho com câncer infantil e a importância de uma escuta psicanalítica voltada para as mães dessas crianças adoecidas. Inicialmente, buscou-se compreender as modificações que o conceito de infância sofreu ao longo do tempo e a valorização das crianças pela sociedade, conceitos que contribuíram para o significado atribuído a ser mãe atualmente. A partir do referencial psicanalítico, realizou-se uma breve revisão teórica acerca da construção do lugar materno, principalmente a partir do conceito freudiano de narcisismo. Quando se descobre o câncer infantil no filho, a realidade inesperada que se apresenta de enfrentar uma doença grave, que pode levar à morte do filho, é vista por muitas mães como um choque, algo arrasador. Discute-se assim o conceito de trauma e de dor psíquica, primeiramente descritos por Freud, não obstante considera-se também a contribuição de outros autores mais atuais acerca do tema. A metodologia utilizada foi uma revisão da literatura acerca do tema, a partir do referencial teórico psicanalítico, bem como o relato de experiência de estágio curricular em um hospital de Porto Alegre na unidade de oncologia pediátrica.

The present assignment aims to understand some of the possible meanings of the maternal psychic suffering when her child faces cancer and the importance of psychoanalytic listening to the mothers of these sick children. Initially, this assignment discuss the changes that the concept of childhood has suffered over time and the valuation of children by society, concepts that contributed to the meaning attributed to being a mother today. Based on psychoanalysis, a brief theoretical revision was made on the construction of the motherhood concept, mainly from the Freudian concept of narcissism. When the child's cancer is discovered, the unexpected reality of facing a serious illness, which can lead to the death, can be a shock to the mothers, something overwhelming. Therefore it is discussed the concept of trauma and psychic pain, first described by Freud, nonetheless is also considered the contribution of others authors on the subject. The methodology used was a review of the literature on the subject, based on the psychoanalytical theoretical framework, as well as the report of an experience of curricular internship in a hospital of Porto Alegre in the pediatric oncology unit.
