Ecos de memória na palavra escrita em caderno de um ausente, de João Anzanello Carrascoza

Abstract

Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o romance Caderno de um ausente, de João Anzanello Carrascoza, pensando as relações entre memória e escrita presentes no texto. Estes serão os pontos fulcrais que guiarão a análise realizada. Procura-se refletir sobre o modo como o caderno escrito por João para sua filha, Bia, lida com as memórias que seu narrador carrega, bem como com as heranças que busca transmitir à menina, junto àquelas que já se transmitem a partir dos laços familiares. Para analisar essas questões, em um primeiro momento, este estudo centra-se em João e em sua maneira de guardar suas memórias e transmiti-las a partir do escrito. Para isso analisa-se a significação deste caderno-herança e procura-se pensar sobre o modo como ele vai construindo seu texto com base nas lembranças. Em um segundo momento, o enfoque é dado à personagem Bia, e o objetivo é pensar a forma como essa herança que tanto pode ser voluntária (a partir do caderno em si) quanto involuntária (a partir dos laços) pode ir moldando aos poucos aquilo que a menina será, a identidade que virá a ter, como expresso em muitas reflexões do narrador. Para realizar tal análise são utilizados como aporte teórico textos de Aleida Assmann, Henri Bergson, Jeanne-Marie Gagnebin, Michael Pollak, Philippe Artières, dentre outros.

This paper aims to analyze the novel Caderno de um ausente, by João Anzanello Carrascoza, approaching the relation between memory and writing presented in the text. These are the key points that will guide this analysis. This paper will reflect about the way how the notebook written by João to his daughter, Bia, deals with the memory that its narrator carries along, as well as with the heritage which is transmitted to the girl, alongside the ones which are conveyed through family ties. In order to analyze these issues, firstly, this study focuses on João and on his manner of keeping his memories and transmitting them through written words. The meaning of this notebook/heritage will be interpreted insofar as the way in which the character constructs his text based on his memories is taken into account. In a further moment, this research focuses on Bia, and the objective involves a reflection concerning the way in which the heritage – that can be either voluntary (by the notebook) or involuntary (by familiar ties) – can progressively shape who the girl will be, the identity that she will have, as expressed many times by the narrator’s reflections. In order to do this analysis, some of the theorists utilized are Aleida Assmann, Henri Bergson, Jeanne-Marie Gagnebin, Michael Pollak, and Philippe Artières.
