O ensino de estatística em diferentes ambientes de aprendizagem

Abstract

Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso tem por objetivo analisar como se encaminha o ensino de Estatística em diferentes ambientes de aprendizagem. A proposta decorreu do fato de que ao longo da graduação percebi a necessidade de explorar a matemática de uma forma diferente da tradicional e acredito que a Estatística permite que essa exploração aconteça. A análise da pesquisa realizou-se por meio do Estudo de Caso, e possui como referencial teórico os trabalhos de Skovsmose, Lopes, Dante e Martins e Ponte, entre outros autores. A coleta de dados foi realizada no segundo semestre de 2016, com uma turma do terceiro ano do Ensino Médio em uma escola da rede pública de Porto Alegre, enquanto cursava a disciplina de Estágio em Educação Matemática III. Foram apresentados alguns conceitos estatísticos ao longo dos encontros, como variáveis, população, amostra, medidas de tendência central e de dispersão, os quais foram explorados e retomados em uma investigação Estatística. Através dessa investigação e de outras discussões no decorrer das aulas, obtive evidências de que os alunos não necessariamente se encontram em um mesmo ambiente de aprendizagem e que a Estatística permite que se abordem temas diversos e os investiguem a partir da matemática.

This Course Completion Work aims to analyze how the teaching of Statistics in different learning environments is routed. The proposal stemmed from the fact that throughout the course I realized the need to explore mathematics in a different way from the traditional one and I believe that Statistics allows this exploration to happen. The analysis of the research was carried out through the Case Study, and has as theoretical reference the works of Skovsmose, Lopes, Dante and Martins e Ponte, among other authors. Data collection was carried out in the second semester of 2016, with a third-grade high school class in a public school in Porto Alegre, while attending the Internship in Mathematics Education III course. Some statistical concepts were presented throughout the meetings, such as variables, population, sample, measures of central tendency and dispersion, which were explored and resumed in a Statistical investigation. Through this research and other discussions in the course of the lessons, I obtained evidence that students are not necessarily in the same learning environment and that Statistics allows diverse subjects to be approached and investigated from mathematics.
