Trabalho e gênero : mulheres no contexto da agricultura familiar

Abstract

Esta pesquisa, desenvolvida num município serrano do Rio Grande do Sul, visa conhecer as relações entre trabalho e gênero no contexto da agricultura familiar e suas repercussões psicossociais. Abarcar a agricultura familiar implica manipular os eixos trabalho, família e produção familiar em pequenas propriedades. O caminho metodológico escolhido foi a observação etnográfica por meio do acompanhamento no cotidiano de mulheres que moram e desenvolvem suas atividades em ambientes rurais, e a utilização de entrevistas semiestruturadas atentando principalmente para a percepção destas acerca de suas práticas de trabalho. Os resultados são analisados através das histórias e vivências de trabalho atuais e pregressas das seis participantes, unidas as conjunturas sociopolíticas de seus entornos e sentidos atribuídos. Conclui-se a permanência das assimetrias de gêneros nas relações de trabalho no âmbito rural, visível na própria divisão do trabalho, na esfera familiar e pública. Acrescido a isto, a permanência da noção de seus trabalhos enquanto ajuda potencializa certa invisibilidade de seus fazeres, condição refletida no âmbito financeiro, nas divisões entre trabalhos leves e pesados, domésticos e externos (lavoura ou animais). Porém na polifonia do cotidiano as relações ao mesmo tempo em que se mantém, são também subvertidas quando as mulheres ocupam outros lugares e protagonizam outros modos possíveis, transformando suas realidades. Ao longo da pesquisa emergiram questões relacionadas: ao aprendizado geracional; a composição e manutenção das famílias rurais e diferenças entre as gerações; aos sabores e dissabores das atividades diárias; as relações com o tempo, clima e natureza e sociabilidades comunitárias. Ao tempo em que há permanências também há transformações importantes empreendidas por e para as mulheres agricultoras e pecuaristas familiares.

This search, developed in a city of Rio Grande do Sul, aims to know the relations between labor and genre in the context of family farming and its psychosocial repercussions. To cover the family farming implies to manipulate the axis labor, family and family production in small properties. The methodological way chosen was ethnographic observation through follow-up in the daily of life of women that live and develops their activities in rural areas, and the utilization of planned interviews focusing on their perception of their work practices. The results are analyzed through the current and past work stories and experience of six participants, together the sociopolitical conjunctures of their surrounding and assigned meanings. Conclude that genre asymmetries remain in the rural labor relations, visible in the division of labor itself, in the family and public spheres. Added to this, the permanence of the notion of their works while helping intensifies certain invisibility of their tasks, condition reflected in the financial ambit, in the divisions between light and heavy work, domestic and external (tillage and animals). But, in the polyphony of daily life the relations at the same time maintaining, are also subverted when women occupy other places and carry out other possible modes, transforming their realities. Throughout the research emerged related questions: to generational learning; the composition and maintenance of rural families and differences between generations; to the tastes and dislikes of daily activities; relations with time, climate, nature and community sociabilities. At the time of permanence there are also important transformations undertaken by and for women farmers and family farmers.
