Costurando histórias silenciadas : mulheres privadas de liberdade e o cuidado em saúde

Abstract

O crescente contingente do número de mulheres em situação de privação de liberdade no sistema prisional nos últimos anos trás a necessidade de repensar a lógica do encarceramento em massa e trazer luz às práticas vinculadas ao acesso em saúde das mesmas, tendo em vista o comprometimento com a garantia dos direitos previstos constitucionalmente e das políticas públicas e tratados internacionais direcionados para essa população. Objetivou-se investigar e problematizar a percepção de mulheres egressas do sistema prisional a respeito das práticas de cuidado em saúde com as mesmas durante a privação de liberdade, a fim de dar voz e visibilidade para o tema da saúde dessas mulheres. Sob uma perspectiva qualitativa exploratória, foram realizadas entrevistas semi estruturadas na residência de quatro mulheres egressas do Presídio Feminino Madre Pelletier de Porto Alegre. A partir da análise das falas, emergiram três eixos principais, que envolvem a identidade de mulher presa e mãe, o acesso e cuidado em saúde e a ampliação de vulnerabilidades pela situação de cárcere. Foi possível identificar o atravessamento de situações de vulnerabilidade nas dimensões sociais, individuais e institucionais nas vidas dessas mulheres, demonstrando a relevância de profissionais da área da saúde tomarem conhecimento dessas complexidades ao se depararem com essa população em serviços de saúde, estando em instituições prisionais ou não, a fim de estabelecerem vínculos de acolhimento e estratégias de cuidado.

The increasing number of women deprived of their liberty in the prison system in recent years has led to the need to rethink the logic of mass incarceration and to shed light on practices related to their access to health, in view of their commitment to guarantee of the constitutionally provided rights and of the public policies and international treaties directed to this population. The objective of this study was to investigate and problematize the perception of women exiting from the prison system regarding their health care practices during their deprivation of liberty, in order to give voice and visibility to the theme of their health. From an exploratory qualitative perspective, semi-structured interviews were conducted at the residence of four women graduates of the Madre Pelletier Women's Prison in Porto Alegre. From the analysis of the speeches, three main axes emerged, which involve the identity of women prisoner and mother, access and health care and the expansion of vulnerabilities by the prison situation. It was possible to identify the crossing of situations of vulnerability in the social, individual and institutional dimensions in the lives of these women, demonstrating the relevance of health professionals to be aware of these complexities when faced with this population in health services, whether in prisons or institutions. no, in order to establish welcoming bonds and care strategies.
