O papel do cristianismo na história universal do espírito

Abstract

O presente trabalho versa sobre a função da religião cristã no pensamento hegeliano, além de elucidar alguns pontos fundamentais da filosofia de Hegel, como a dialética e a historicidade. Encontramos na figura histórica que foi Jesus um momento essencial da filosofia hegeliana, o papel de mediação dialética e negatividade presente nessa figura ajuda Hegel em formar uma concepção adequada do Absoluto e do divino. Hegel também encontra no cristianismo uma noção de reconciliação que servirá de suporte para superar alienação moderna que separa sujeito e objeto. Além disso, temos na Reforma Protestante um importante desenvolvimento do espírito cristão, que auxiliará Hegel em seu projeto moderno que visa a razão e a liberdade como o fim da história.

The present paper discuss the function of the christian religion in the hegelian thought, it also elucidates some fundamental points of Hegel’s philosophy, like dialectics and historicism. We find in the historical figure that was Jesus an essential moment of hegelian philosophy, the role of dialectical mediation and negativity that is present in that figure helps Hegel formulate an adequate conception of the Absolute and the divine. Hegel also finds in christianity a notion of reconciliation that will serve as support to overcome the modern alienation that separates subject and object. Also, we have in the Protestant Reformation an important development of the christian spirit, which will help Hegel in his modern project that aims at reason and freedom as the end of history.
