Mães que matam : filicídio na psicanálise

Abstract

Este trabalho de conclusão de curso teve como objetivo elucidar o mito do amor materno através do filicídio como conceito psicanalítico. Pensando no filicídio e no mito do amor materno, utilizou-se, especificamente, os crimes de filicídio cometidos pela mãe. Para tal, foi utilizados conceitos de mulher ideal, função materna e o papel da mulher na sociedade. Como forma de ilustrar os conceitos, falou-se do Mito de Medeia, os crimes reais cometidos por Mary Ann Cotton – considerada a primeira serial killer da Inglaterra no século XVIII. Compreendemos a construção do conceito de maternidade ao longo dos séculos até a atualidade. Refletimos, ainda, sobre a função materna e como ela se encaixa no conceito de mulher ideal que foi construído, principalmente a partir da era vitoriana.

This work aimed to elucidate the myth of maternal love through filicide as a psychoanalytic concept. Thinking about filicide and the myth of maternal love, we used, specifically, the crimes committed by the mothers against their children. For this, the concept of ideal woman, maternal function and the role of women in society were used. As a way of illustrating the concepts, the Myth of Medeia was mentioned, as were the real crimes committed by Mary Ann Cotton – considered the first serial killer of the 18th century in England. We understand the construction of the concept of motherhood over the centuries to the present. We also reflect on the maternal role and how it fits into the concept of the ideal woman that was built, mainly from the Victorian era.
