Uma investigação em história em educação matemática : memórias de uma professora dos anos iniciais

Abstract

Este trabalho foi produzido a partir de questões que surgem sobre a relação entre o aprender e o ensinar matemática, em diálogo com o estudo da História da Educação Matemática. Uma dessas questões surgiu em uma conversa sobre a escola dos anos 1960 trazida por uma ex-professora que afirmou que a educação era de qualidade naquele tempo. A questão motivadora da pesquisa foi: o que ela levou para sua vida docente dessa escola que tanto enaltecia? A partir de entrevista com a professora, de um caderno da ex-aluna disponibilizado pela docente e das orientações presentes nos programas escolares, trazemos elementos da memória da professora sobre os tempos de estudante, identificamos a presença do Movimento Matemática Moderna nas aulas da professora na década de 1980 e comentamos algumas possíveis relações entre aprender e ensinar matemática na educação básica.

This paper was produced from questions that arise about the relationship between learning and teaching mathematics, in dialogue with the study of the History of Mathematics Education. One of these questions arose in a conversation about school in the 1960's brought by a former teacher who said that education was of quality at that time. The motivating question for this research was: what did she take away to her teaching life from this school that she praised so much? Based on interviews with the teacher, on a former student's notebook made available by the teacher, and on the guidelines present in the school syllabus, we identified changes in the guidelines for teaching mathematics in the early years and the presence of the Modern Mathematics Movement in the teacher's classes in the 1980s and some possible relationships between learning and teaching mathematics in basic education.
