Mais sobre doação na literatura científica : novas contribuições à psicologia moral

Abstract

Trata-se da fase 2 da pesquisa que examina características da literatura publicada e disponível sobre doação e analisa aspectos morais e éticos nesse contexto. Foram analisados 98 artigos. Análises quantitativas e qualitativas forneceram subsídios para a caracterização dos artigos, sua comparação com os resultados da fase 1 da pesquisa e a análise teórica sobre o tratamento dado aos principais temas nos textos. Observou-se um aumento considerável de publicações sobre doação, predominantemente a partir de pesquisas em diferentes disciplinas da área da saúde. Além disso, outros tipos de doações passaram a ser estudadas cientificamente e publicadas. Os temas identificados na fase 1 da pesquisa permanecem sob estudo nas publicações seguintes, contemplando as diferentes perspectivas envolvidas no processo da doação: doador, receptor, familiar, equipe de saúde, sociedade, Estado, humanidade. A análise teórica empreendida estabeleceu relações entre os diferentes modos de raciocínio moral em justificativas a favor ou contra a doação de órgãos e tecidos perante o diagnóstico de morte encefálica. O assunto é de extrema relevância dada a escassez de doações enfrentadas no país e pela ausência do tratamento do tópico da doação nos debates em meios educacionais e familiares – ambientes onde o primeiro passo pode ser dado para uma doação no futuro.

This is phase 2 of the research that examines characteristics of published and available literature on donation and analyzes moral and ethical aspects in this context. Ninety-eight articles were analyzed. Quantitative and qualitative analyzes provided the characterization of the articles, the comparison with the results of phase 1, and the theoretical analysis of the treatment given to the main themes of the texts. There was a considerable increase in publications on donation, predominantly based on research in different health disciplines. In addition, other types of donations began to be scientifically studied and published. The themes identified in phase 1of the research remain under study in later publications, contemplating different perspectives involved inthe donation process: donor, recipient, family member, health team, society, State,and humanity. The theoreticalanalysisundertaken establishedrelationships between the different modes ofmoral reasoning in justifications foror againstthe donation of organs/tissues before the diagnosis of brain death. The subject is extremely relevant given the scarcity of donations faced in the country and the lack of treatment of the topic of donation in debates in educational and family circles – environments where the first step can be taken towards a donation in the future.
