O ensino da questão social a partir das Diretrizes Curriculares da ABEPSS na formação de assistentes sociais do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

A dissertação aborda o ensino da questão social e das suas expressões, à luz das Diretrizes Curriculares (DC) da ABEPSS de 1996, na formação graduada em Serviço Social no Rio Grande do Sul (RS), a fim de contribuir para o debate sobre a qualificação da formação profissional dos assistentes sociais e a materialização das referidas Diretrizes neste processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Diversos são os impactos na formação profissional dos desmontes e mercantilização do projeto neoliberal na política de educação superior, que implicam em uma permanente avaliação da materialização das DC com relação ao ensino da questão social. As produções sobre a temática em suas mediações com a formação e o ensino na categoria são escassas, o que reforça a relevância do presente estudo. Nesse sentido, se trata de uma pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva/exploratória, orientada pelo método dialético crítico, composta pelas etapas de revisão bibliográfica, pesquisa documental e questionários. A revisão bibliográfica se constituiu pelo levantamento de obras clássicas na área e literatura recente, da produção da categoria com relação à temática de estudo, bem como o estudo das DC da ABEPSS, que possibilitaram o estudo teórico-metodológico da questão social e das suas interlocuções com o ensino e a formação profissional. A pesquisa documental foi realizada com cursos de graduação em Serviço Social presenciais públicos do RS, em seus Projetos Político-Pedagógicos (PPPs) e ementas de disciplinas de questão social. Realizou-se também questionários com discentes dos cursos participantes visando captar sua experiência neste processo de aprendizagem. A pesquisa revelou a necessidade de qualificação do ensino da questão social e apontou elementos que podem contribuir para tal, a partir do avanço na materialização das DC da ABEPSS nos PPPs, do resgate dos Fundamentos da profissão, da articulação efetiva com as competências profissionais e da visibilidade das expressões de resistência da questão social, no sentido de fortalecer o Projeto Ético-Político do Serviço Social.

The dissertation approaches the teaching of the social question and its expressions in the formation in Social Work, in the light of the Curricular Guidelines (CG) of ABEPSS of 1996, in order to to contribute to the debate on the qualification of the professional training of social workers and the materialization of the Guidelines in this teaching and learning process. There are several impacts on professional training of the dismantling and commodification of the neoliberal project in higher education policy, which imply a permanent evaluation of the materialization of the CG in relation to the teaching of the social question. Productions about the theme in their mediations with training and teaching in the category are scarce, which reinforces the relevance of the present study. In this sense, it is a qualitative, descriptive/exploratory research, guided by the critical dialectic method, composed of the stages of bibliographic review, documentary research and questionnaires. The bibliographic review was constituted by the survey of classic works in the area and recent literature, of the production of the category in relation to the subject of study, as well as the study of CG of ABEPSS, which made possible the theoretical-methodological study of the social question and its interlocutions with education and vocational training. The documental research was carried out with undergraduate courses in social work in attendance and public in RS, in their Political-Pedagogical Projects (PPPs) and syllabi of disciplines on social question. Questionnaires were also carried out with students of the participating courses in order to capture their experience in this learning process. The research revealed the need to qualify the teaching of the social question and pointed out elements that can contribute to this, based on the advancement in the materialization of the CG of ABEPSS in the PPPs, the rescue of the Fundamentals of the profession, the effective articulation with the professional competences and the visibility of expressions of resistance to the social question, in order to strengthen the Ethical-Political Project of Social Work.
