Entender e discurso em ser e tempo de Martin Heidegger

Abstract

Martin Heidegger, Ser e Tempo. A exposição aqui desenvolvida terá uma restrição no tratamento da questão apenas na obra Ser e Tempo e, de forma ainda mais delimitada, na primeira seção onde tais conceitos aparecem. Nesses parágrafos, os conceitos de Entender e Discurso são apresentados como elementos constitutivos do Dasein, vemos uma articulação intrínseca entre ambos que ao mesmo tempo preserva seu caráter independente em termos de função e fundamentação. O interesse deste trabalho recai em larga medida no status ampliado e existencial do Entender e do Discurso – considerando também seus conceitos circundantes como interpretação, linguagem, significação, comunicação, entre outros – usualmente postulados nos moldes restritos e operacionais de teorias do conhecimento e da consciência ou de teorias formalistas sobre a linguagem que priorizam sua estruturação e fundamentação lógica abstrata, focando nas relações entre símbolos, regras gramaticais e sintaxe para construção de sistemas. Tais concepções desconsideram uma fundamentação do Entender (e da interpretação) e do Discurso (bem como da linguagem) em um lastro mundano e pragmático tal como concebe Heidegger. Segundo as teses de Ser e Tempo, a interpretação não é uma técnica e a linguagem não é apenas um instrumento de comunicação, mas na verdade são da própria estrutura essencial do Dasein como existente e ser-no-mundo. O Discurso como articulador da entendibilidade não é apenas o que expressa o pensamento, mas sim o que o constitui. A interpretação não é vista como uma operação intelectualista de atribuição de significado por um sujeito separado do mundo, mas como um acontecer existencial fundamental do Dasein.

This paper seeks to discuss the concepts of Understanding and Discourse in Martin Heidegger’s magnum opus, Being and Time. The exposition developed here will be limited to the treatment of the issue within Being and Time, and more specifically, to the first section where these concepts appear. In these paragraphs, the concepts of Understanding and Discourse are presented as constitutive elements of Dasein, revealing an intrinsic articulation between them, while simultaneously preserving their independent character in terms of function and foundation. The main interest of this work largely lies in the expanded and existential status of Understanding and Discourse – also considering their surrounding concepts such as interpretation, language, meaning, communication, among others – usually postulated in the narrow and operational frameworks of theories of knowledge and consciousness or formalist theories of language that prioritize abstract logical structuring and grounding, focusing on the relations between symbols, grammatical rules, and syntax for the construction of systems. Such conceptions disregard a grounding of Understanding (and interpretation) and Discourse (as well as language) in a worldly and pragmatic foundation as conceived by Heidegger. According to the theses of Being and Time, interpretation is not a technique, and language is not merely a communication tool, but are, in fact, part of the very essential structure of Dasein as being-in- the-world. Discourse, as the articulator of intelligibility, is not merely what expresses thought, but rather what constitutes it. Interpretation is not seen as an intellectual operation of meaning attribution by a subject separated from the world, but as a fundamental existential occurrence of Dasein.
