O lugar da família na clínica fonoaudiológica com crianças : construindo um espaço de escuta

Abstract

O presente trabalho foi norteado pelas seguintes questões: Qual o lugar da família na clínica fonoaudiológica com crianças? E qual a importância de um lugar de escuta para a família na clínica fonoaudiológica com crianças? Para responder a essas questões a pesquisa visa entender o lugar da família na clínica fonoaudiológica com crianças e elucidar de que forma a escuta da família tem implicações no trabalho clínico com crianças. Como referencial teórico é discutida uma noção de escuta para a família na clínica com crianças e uma concepção de diálogo que considere o processo de intersubjetividade linguística. O delineamento da pesquisa é qualitativo descritivo e contém a apresentação e a discussão de um relato de caso clínico. Conclui-se, em linhas gerais, que a construção de um lugar de escuta para a família de crianças em atendimento fonoaudiológico é fundamental para que a mesma possa abdicar da posição de mera informante sobre o desenvolvimento da criança e ocupar um lugar de saber em relação ao seu (a) filho (a).

This study was guided by the following questions: What is the role of the family in speech therapy clinics for children? And what is the importance of providing a space for listening to the family in speech therapy clinics for children? To address these questions, the research aims to understand the family's role in speech therapy clinics for children and to elucidate how listening to the family impacts clinical work with children. The theoretical framework discusses a notion of listening to the family in child-focused clinics and a conception of dialogue that considers the process of linguistic intersubjectivity. The research design is qualitative and descriptive, presenting and discussing a clinical case study. Overall, the study concludes that creating a space for listening to the family of children undergoing speech therapy is essential for enabling them to move beyond being mere informants about the child’s development and to occupy a position of knowledge regarding their child.
