Arte drag na cena : uma investigação sobre processos criativos e como pesquisar arte Drag

Abstract

Esta pesquisa investiga processos criativos de artistas drag na cidade de Porto Alegre, compreendendo a performance Drag como uma linguagem artística, estética e política. A partir da criação do Conversittas: Talk Show, um dispositivo cênico, midiático e metodológico, foram realizadas entrevistas performativas com quatro artistas da cena porto-alegrense, em eventos abertos ao público, que também se configuraram como produto artístico e audiovisual. A pesquisa articula teoria e prática, propondo uma metodologia situada, construída no próprio fazer, no encontro e na presença, fazendo operar um modo performativo de realizar pesquisa em arte. Ao tensionar as fronteiras entre arte, mercado, resistência e produção de conhecimento, este trabalho reconhece o corpo Drag como espaço de criação, de memória e de elaboração de saberes. A investigação contribui para refletir sobre os modos de fazer Drag, seus processos criativos, suas materialidades e seus atravessamentos, afirmando essa manifestação como linguagem legítima no campo das artes cênicas.

This research investigates the creative processes of Drag artists in the city of Porto Alegre, understanding Drag as an artistic, aesthetic, and political language. Through the creation of Conversittas: Talk Show, a scenic, media-based, and methodological device, performative interviews were conducted with four artists from the local Drag scene, in events open to the public that also became an artistic and audiovisual product. The research weaves together theory and practice, proposing a situated methodology built through the act of doing, through encounters and presence, activating a performative approach to conducting research in art. By challenging the boundaries between art, market, resistance, and knowledge production, this work recognizes the Drag body as a space of creation, memory, and knowledge-making. This investigation contributes to reflections on the ways of doing Drag, its creative processes, materialities, and intersections, affirming this manifestation as a legitimate language within the field of performing arts.
