A influência de leituras obrigatórias no estímulo de leitura de estudantes do sexto ano de uma escola privada de Porto Alegre/RS

Abstract

Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar a influência das leituras obrigatórias no estímulo à leitura de estudantes do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental II, em uma escola privada de Porto Alegre/RS. A autora adota uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa, de natureza aplicada e exploratória, com a aplicação de questionário fechado a utilizou questionário aplicado a 215 estudantes. O estudo investiga as percepções dos estudantes sobre as leituras obrigatórias, sua relação com a biblioteca escolar e os impactos dessas práticas no interesse pela leitura. Os resultados demonstram que a maioria dos estudantes não se sente motivada a ler por meio das leituras obrigatórias e que estas não aumentam sua frequência à biblioteca. O trabalho conclui que, para promover o interesse pela leitura, as obras devem dialogar com os interesses dos estudantes. A biblioteca escolar deve atuar como espaço ativo de formação leitora, contribuindo de forma efetiva para o desenvolvimento do estímulo à leitura.

This study aims to analyze the influence of mandatory readings in encouraging reading among 6th grade students of Elementary School II, in a private school in Porto Alegre/RS. The author adopts a quantitative and qualitative approach, of an applied and exploratory nature, with the application of a closed questionnaire and used a questionnaire applied to 215 students. The study investigates students' perceptions about mandatory readings, their relationship with the school library and the impact of these practices on their interest in reading. The results show that most students do not feel motivated to read through mandatory readings and that these do not increase their frequency of visits to the library. The study concludes that, in order to promote interest in reading, the works must dialogue with the interests of the students. The school library must act as an active space for reader development, contributing effectively to the development of reading stimulation.
