Saída do jovem da atividade agrícola e os reflexos deste acontecimento na agricultura familiar de Picada Café

Abstract

A presente monografia apresenta os resultados de uma investigação de cunho qualitativo, cujo objetivo foi investigar os motivos pelos quais os jovens saem da atividade agrícola e os reflexos deste acontecimento na agricultura familiar de Picada Café. A coleta de dados deu-se pelo método de entrevistas semi estruturadas. O desejo de realizar esta pesquisa esteve articulado ao compromisso de investigar e problematizar a saída do jovem da atividade agrícola. Nessa perspectiva, o problema de pesquisa ficou assim configurado: Quais os motivos que levam o jovem a sair da atividade agrícola e os reflexos deste contexto na estrutura da agricultura familiar de Picada Café/RS? O aporte teórico pautou-se em autores que abordam o tema da saída do jovem do campo, juventude rural e industrialização, portanto, o referencial teórico está enriquecido com as ideias de alguns autores como: Ricardo Abramovay (2005), Maria José Carneiro (1999), Nilson Weisheimer (2005), Sérgio Schneider (2004) e outros autores mencionados no decorrer do trabalho que denotam a preocupação com a categoria juventude rural bem como o futuro da agricultura familiar. A análise das informações se deu em três níveis: no primeiro nível levantaram-se as questões a serem abordadas na entrevista; no segundo nível foram aplicadas as entrevistas aos jovens e aos seus respectivos pais; e o terceiro nível se refere à análise das informações obtidas. Evidenciou-se que a saída do jovem da atividade agrícola em Picada Café está interligada com os fatores de “expulsão” e aos fatores de “atração”.

This monograph shows the results of a qualitative investigation which objective was to investigate the reasons why youngsters evade the agriculture activity and its reflects in the family farming of Picada Café. The collection of information was done through a semi-structured interview method. The desire of doing this research had been articulated to the commitment of investigate and problematize the evasion of the youngsters from the agriculture activity. In this perspective , the research problem was defined, like this: What are the reasons that cause evasion from the agriculture activity and the reflects of this context in the structure of the family farming of Picada Café/RS? The theorical contribution was based on authors that approached the following themes: youth moving from the farms, rural youth and industrialism, therefore, the theorical reference is enriched with the ideas of some authors as: Ricardo Abramovay (2005), Maria José Carneiro (1999), Nilson Weisheimer (2005), Sergio Schneider (2004) and other mentioned authors along this work which denote preoccupation with the rural youth category, as well as, the future of the family farming. The analysis of the information was given in three levels: in the first level were raised the questions which were supposed to be approached in the interview; in the second level the youngsters and their parents were interviewed; and the third level is all about the analyses of the taken information. It was proved that the output of the youngsters from the agriculture activity in Picada Café is connected with the factors of “expulsion” and “attraction”.
