Hospitalidade de famílias rurais da serra fluminense : olhares de anfitriões

Abstract

A hospitalidade é um fenômeno social que se desenvolve através de práticas que envolvem hóspedes e anfitriões. As práticas da hospitalidade são a temática desse trabalho que trabalha como atividades de recepcionar, alimentar, hospedar e entreter são desempenhadas por famílias rurais da Serra Fluminense. A perspectiva abordou a hospitalidade enquanto fenômeno passível de impactos mútuos por diversas dinâmicas sociais, econômicas, culturais, ambientais, históricas, políticas e turísticas. Assim, essa pesquisa teve por objetivo descrever as práticas da hospitalidade; identificar as motivações que levam as famílias rurais envolverem-se com atividades turísticas, bem como suas ações ao desenvolvimento dos diversos domínios da hospitalidade; e verificar o entendimento das famílias rurais em relação ao turismo e à hospitalidade. O recorte espacial para a pesquisa elegeu as áreas rurais de Carmo e Nova Friburgo, municípios da Região Serrana do Rio de Janeiro. Dessa forma, utilizou-se levantamento de dados primários junto às famílias dessas localidades por intermédio de entrevistas em profundidade, com questionários contendo perguntas abertas que foram registradas com gravador de áudio, além de diário de campo e máquina fotográfica para captação de imagens e fatos não orais. Em campo, foi possível realizar 13 entrevistas em Carmo (de dezembro de 2011 a fevereiro de 2012) e nove em Nova Friburgo (em junho de 2012), todas em suas propriedades. Em algumas dessas entrevistas houve mais de uma pessoa a responder os questionários, visto que a unidade de análise foi a família rural e as práticas de hospitalidade são desenvolvidas por todos os integrantes das famílias. Os resultados revelaram que a hospitalidade revela a práticas culturais que contribuem para a promoção da diversidade cultural fluminense, além de se constituir como uma ferramenta ao desenvolvimento, seja através da oferta de estruturas materiais e imateriais que possibilitam acolher pessoas que fazem parte ou não de seu cotidiano, favorece o exercício de direitos sociais de deslocamento (ir e vir) e lazer tanto dos hóspedes quanto das famílias rurais anfitriãs, os quais na “inversão de papéis” têm acesso ao lazer turístico. Dessa maneira, é possível compreender os papéis da hospitalidade no desenvolvimento, os quais são permeados da cultura de famílias rurais e agem como fator de desenvolvimento.

Hospitality is a social phenomenon that develops through practices involving guests and hosts. The practice of hospitality are the subject of this dissertation, which works as activities to welcome, feed, entertain and host are performed by rural families of Serra Fluminense. The perspective is to approach the phenomenon hospitality while subject to mutual impacts on several dynamic social, economic, cultural, environmental, historical, political and tourist. Thus, this study aimed to describe the practices of hospitality; identify the motivations that lead to rural families become involved with tourism activities and their actions to the development of various fields of hospitality; and to check for understanding of rural households in relation to tourism and hospitality. The spatial area for research chose the rural areas of Carmo and Nova Friburgo, cities in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, we used primary data collection with families in these localities through in-depth interviews with questionnaires with open questions that were recorded with an audio recorder, and field journal and camera to capture images and facts not oral. In the field, it was possible to conduct 13 interviews in Carmo (December 2011 to February 2012) and 9 and Nova Friburgo (in June 2012), all in their properties. In some of these interviews there was more than one person to answer the questionnaires, as the unit of analysis is the rural family and hospitality practices are developed by all members of the families. The results revealed that the hospitality reveals the cultural practices that contribute to the cultural diversity of the state, besides being as a development tool, either by offering tangible and intangible structures that enable people who receive part of their daily lives or not, favors the exercise of social rights displacement (go and see) and both the leisure guest as host of rural households, which the "reversal of roles" have access to leisure tourism. Thus, it is possible to understand the roles in the development of hospitality, which are steeped in the culture of rural families and act as a factor of development.
