O anacronismo das imagens na exposição Levantes

Abstract

Esta monografia busca verificar na prática curatorial da exposição Levantes como são operados os conceitos do anacronismo das imagens que o curador Georges Didi Huberman (1953) articula a partir do legado de Carl Einstein (1885-1940), Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) e, sobretudo, Aby Warburg (1866-1929). Essa exposição foi inaugurada no centro de imagem Jeu de Paume (Paris), em 2016, e cumpriu itinerância em cinco países, sendo finalizada em 2018. Neste trabalho, em um primeiro momento, realizaremos uma breve revisão teórica dos principais fundamentos do anacronismo histórico, que serão retomados no capítulo seguinte com a leitura de um conjunto de três imagens da mostra, sob a abordagem warburguiana.

This monograph seeks to verify in the curatorial practice of the Levantes exhibition how the concepts of anachronism of images are operated by the curator Georges Didi Huberman (1953), based on the legacy of Carl Einstein (1885-1940), Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) and, above all, Aby Warburg (1866-1929). This exhibition was inaugurated at the image center Jeu de Paume (Paris), in 2016, and completed itinerancy in five countries, being completd in 2018. At first, in this work, we will carry out a brief theoretical review of the main foundations os historical anachronism, witch will be resumed in the next chapter with the reading of a set of three images from the show, under the warburguian approach.
