Black art matters : uma proposta de unidada diática Antirracista para o ensino de inglês como língua adicional

Abstract

O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo oferecer uma reflexão sobre a necessidade de uma educação linguística de viés antirracista no Brasil e apresentar uma proposta de unidade didática antirracista para o ensino de inglês como língua adicional. A unidade didática trabalha com os temas arte e arte negra no contexto do movimento Black Lives Matter e foi pensada para alunos do Ensino Médio. A pesquisa utilizou como aporte teórico ensino por tarefas (Welp, Didio e Finkler, 2019) e Translinguagem (Welp e García, 2022). A unidade didática, dividida em quatro partes, propõe uma educação linguística crítica, antirracista e translíngue que permita o uso de todo o repertório linguístico de estudantes que estão se tornando bilíngues.

This paper seeks to offer a reflection on the need for an anti-racist language education perspective in Brazil and to present an anti-racist instructional unit proposal for teaching English as an additional language. The instructional unit works with the themes art and black art in the context of the Black Lives Matter Movement, which is why it was designed for students in the 2nd year of high school. The study used as theoretical framework task-based learning (Welp, Didio and Finkler, 2019) and Translanguaging (Welp and García, 2022). The instructional unit, organized into four parts, offers a critical, anti-racist and translanguaging perspective on language education that allows the use of the entire linguistic repertoire of students who are becoming bilingual.
